A practical launch review: can visitors understand the offer, make contact, switch language and recover from an error?
Start with a real task
Choose a service and try to request it without using your knowledge of the business. The page should explain who it is for, what happens next and how to make contact. If the visitor must assemble that answer from several pages, fix the structure before adjusting colours. Write down the starting page, expected action and evidence that the action worked.
Follow the request past the button
A success message is not proof of delivery. In a test environment, submit a clearly marked request, verify that the receiving system records it and check that the responsible person can act on it. Then try an invalid email, an empty required field, a network failure and a repeated click. Preserve entered text after recoverable errors and provide an alternative contact method. Do not send test requests to a real client's inbox without agreement.
Review the mobile journey
At a narrow width, open the menu, switch language, read a long service title and complete the form using a keyboard. Check that focus remains visible, labels do not disappear and the submit button is reachable. A screenshot can reveal clipping; it cannot prove that validation or keyboard navigation works. Test both the appearance and the interaction.
Check the published URL contract
List the intended public URLs and compare them with navigation, canonical links and the sitemap. Each sitemap destination should be a working canonical page. A redirect belongs in the migration plan, not the sitemap. Read the delivered HTML as well as the browser view: language switching and client-side enhancements should not be required to expose the essential offer.
Agree on release evidence
The handover should identify the deployed revision, tested journeys, known limitations and owner of each remaining action. On Aksiandr, local generation checks and the production HTTP crawler serve different purposes: one checks the artifact, the other checks what the web server actually returns. Passing the first does not replace the second.
